DE (Diatomaceous Earth), a natural dewormer, contains 14 trace elements. It is also non-toxic and biodegradable. DE uses a mechanical rather than a chemical action, so subsequent generations of insects cannot become resistant to its effects.

Most DE contains silicon, sodium, aluminum, manganese, boron, magnesium, iron, calcium, and copper.

DE comes from diatoms, dead sea life. There are more than 1,500 species of diatoms, each with its own skeletal shape. Most look like snow flakes; while some are tubular and others conical.
